Life in Intown.

Worth Avenue
The island's famed shopping and dining street, steps away.
The Royal Poinciana Plaza
Galleries, boutiques, and restaurants in a restored landmark.
The Town Docks
Municipal marina in the heart of the section.

Intown — Midtown, to some — is the island at its most centered. Everything that defines Palm Beach public life happens within these few blocks: the vias and maisons of Worth Avenue, the galleries and restaurants of The Royal Poinciana Plaza, morning coffee that turns into an afternoon among boutiques and museums.

Royal Palm Way, the palm-lined boulevard often called Bankers Row, anchors the section with its international financial houses, and the Town Docks put the Intracoastal a stroll away. The housing mix is the island's most varied — landmark co-ops and condominiums, lakefront Mediterranean homes with private docks, and newly built residences finished to their original 1920s spirit, some with deeded in-town beach access.

For those who want to walk to everything — dinner, the beach, the boat — this is the section that makes the case.

Good to Know

Intown — common questions

What is In Town Palm Beach?
The island's walkable center — the blocks around Worth Avenue, Royal Palm Way, and the town's civic core. It holds the majority of Palm Beach's condominium buildings alongside quieter single-family streets just off the avenue.
Can you walk to Worth Avenue from an In Town condo?
From most of them, yes. That walkability is the defining feature of the section: shops, restaurants, the beach, and the Society of the Four Arts are all reachable on foot from much of the In Town inventory.
Is In Town all condos?
No. It has the island's densest condo inventory, but the streets between the avenue and the lake hold substantial single-family homes and townhouses — often on smaller lots, with the trade-off being that you can walk everywhere.
What should I know about buying an In Town condo?
Building rules vary widely and matter more than the unit itself: minimum lease terms, whether rentals are allowed at all, pet policies, and approval processes differ building by building. Review the association documents before you go under contract.
Are In Town condos oceanfront?
Some are directly on the ocean along South and North Ocean Boulevard; others sit lakeside on the Intracoastal, and many are in between with town or garden views. "Ocean view" and "oceanfront" are meaningfully different — the listing detail will specify.
How does In Town compare to South Palm Beach?
In Town is the island's walkable core with a wide mix of prices and building ages. South Palm Beach is a separate town further south, almost entirely oceanfront condos, and generally the most attainable oceanfront on the island.
